Abstract

The article compares strategic concepts of national safety in the USA and EU from 2002 to 2010 from the point of view of priority components of national culture: attitude to external threats and reaction to them, to weapons of mass destruction, to the role of the international organizations. The authors consider selfpositioning of the given states fixed in documents of safety strategies, as the international actors in geopolitical space. The comparative analysis of evolution of concepts of strategic culture within the limits of the declared chronological period is carried out.
